1. Nature of the beta program

mrecall.ai is currently in public beta. You're being given early access to test the Service, provide feedback, and help us find and fix problems before a full public launch. Your continued use of the Service after this Agreement takes effect constitutes your acceptance of it.

2. Free during beta, paid afterward

Access to mrecall during the public beta period is free. This is a temporary arrangement. Once beta testing concludes, mrecall will transition to a paid subscription model, potentially including a free tier with usage limits alongside paid tiers with expanded features and higher limits. We will notify beta users of the transition and pricing in advance of any charges being introduced. Continuing to use mrecall after that transition, or upgrading to a paid tier, will be governed by the pricing and terms in effect at that time.

3. Confidentiality

As a beta tester, you may have access to features, designs, pricing plans, and other information about mrecall that have not been publicly released ("Confidential Information"). You agree to:

This confidentiality obligation continues even after your beta access ends or you stop using the Service, until the relevant information becomes publicly available through official channels (for example, our public launch).

4. Restrictions on copying and use

In addition to the acceptable-use terms in our general Terms of Service, and specifically because of the sensitivity of pre-launch access, you agree not to:

5. Ownership

mrecall.ai, including its name, branding, design, source code, and underlying technology, is owned by its developer and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Participating in the beta program grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for personal or business evaluation purposes only. Nothing in this Agreement transfers any ownership rights to you. You retain ownership of the data and content you enter into mrecall, as described in our Terms of Service.

6. Beta risks — please read this one

Beta software is, by definition, still being tested. We take reasonable care with your data, but during the beta period:

We strongly recommend using the in-app backup/export feature periodically. mrecall is provided "as is" during the beta period without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

7. Term and termination

This Agreement remains in effect for as long as you have access to the beta program. We may suspend or terminate your beta access at any time, for any reason, including if we reasonably believe you've violated this Agreement. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections 3 (Confidentiality), 4 (Restrictions), 5 (Ownership), and 8 (Breach and remedies) survive termination.

8. Breach and remedies

If you breach this Agreement — in particular the confidentiality or anti-copying provisions above — we reserve the right to immediately terminate your access to the Service, and to pursue any legal remedies available to us under applicable law, which may include claims for damages and injunctive relief.

9. Governing law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of India, and any disputes arising from it will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

Note: this is a beta program agreement, not a substitute for independent legal advice. If enforceability of these terms matters to your business, we'd recommend having them reviewed by a lawyer familiar with Indian contract and IT law.
